Eli Crane wins Republican nomination in Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District

Elakeland, a Republican backed by former President Donald Trump, has won the Republican nomination for Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District and will face Rep. Tom O’Halleran (D) in November.

Cook Political Report’s David Wasserman ran the contest at 11:37 p.m. ET, while also noting that the congressional district was rated “likely” Republican.

Trump endorsed a political newcomer, Crane, two weeks ago, just before the former president held a rally in the state to support the candidate he had chosen to support.

In his endorsement, the former president emphasized that Crane, a retired Navy SEAL and successful businessman, “will fight for election integrity, protect the border, support our military and veterans, and defend the Second Amendment. “

In addition, Trump said Crane, the Republican nominee for Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District, would defeat O’Halleran, a “puppet” of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and “Arizona Shame of the people”.

In a previous interview with Breitbart News, Crane explained that he wants to make election integrity one of his core issues in Congress.

“I do believe that stressing election integrity has to be paramount as we work to protect the democratic republic we’ve acquired,” Klein told Breitbart New’s Christina Wong in November. “It blows my mind to see everything humans have been willing to do for power throughout history, including Holocaust, genocide, repression, and more. But as Americans, we view our government with such optimism that We cannot believe that the same type of evil could happen here.”
