Manchester United’s Brazilian defender Alex Telles is about to join La Liga side Sevilla on loan.
Thales has been sidelined at Manchester United following the arrival of new boss Eric Ten Haag’s first signing Tyrell Marasia.
With the former Feyenoord man battling Luke Shaw for the left-back spot, Thales played at centre-back for much of the pre-season.
However, this will not last beyond this Premier League season Lisandro Martinez signed from Ajax.
That means if Thales doesn’t act, he’ll risk a World Cup.
The 29-year-old was recalled to Brazil in January after a 14-month absence.
Thales joins Manchester United Signed from Porto for €15m (£13.6m) in 2020.
