
Baseball stars and athletes are paying tribute to Los Angeles Dodgers broadcast legend Vince Cooley, who died Tuesday at the age of 94.
Sculley’s death Statement from the Dodgers Tuesday night in their game against the San Francisco Giants. The statement read that Sculley “looks forward to joining the love of his life, Sandy.”
“Vince Curley is the heartbeat of the Dodgers — in many ways, the heartbeat of the whole of Los Angeles,” the Dodgers said.
“We’ve lost the greatest player of all time,” current Dodgers broadcaster Joe Davis, who replaced Sculley after retiring in 2016, announced on the air.
Baseball stars, prominent sports figures and celebrities shared their grief on social media, as well as their favorite moments from Scully’s 67-year career.

Others also shared how the world lost two legendary sports icons, Sculley and NBA great Bill Russell, in the same week.
