A red sculpture depicting Russian President Vladimir Putin mounted on a tank has been installed on a playground in New York City’s famous Central Park.
french artist James ColominaKnown for placing his red statues in unconventional areas without prior announcement, he created the piece, according to Reuters.
“The sculpture aims to condemn the absurdity of war and highlight the courage of children in the face of violent, catastrophic situations triggered by others,” the street artist wrote in a post. Images provided by Reuters showed children playing with the sculptures – pouring sand over the heads of the sculptures, which looked like little water guns.
