Valve is working on bringing Joy-Con support to Steam


Valve is working on adding support for the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con controller to Steam.as Latest Steam Beta, Joy-Cons will be supported individually or as a pair, similar to how you use them in Switch games.If you want to try the feature, you can opt-in to the Steam beta – Valve has Helpful instructions on the Steam website — Although your Joy-Cons do not experience any drift.

Valve is also improving its support for Nintendo Classic controllers sold to Switch Online users, though in the beta patch notes, the company didn’t specify how.The feature, introduced in the public version of the Steam client just last week, lets you use Switch-specific NES, SNES, N64 and Sega Genesis Controller on Steam.

If you want to use a non-Nintendo controller on Steam, you also have some options. Valve added support for Sony’s DualSense controllers shortly after the PS5’s release in 2020, and expanded Steam’s support for Xbox controllers in early 2021.
