Dozens of police officers took part in a “fabuloso” LGBTQ+ pride parade in the wake of the British beach city of Brighton on Saturday.
Sussex Police, which is charged with protecting the citizens of Brighton and Hove, held their annual pride parade in the city, posing in rainbow colours to show their support for the left-wing movement.
The Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner, Katie Byrne of the Conservative Party, joined Surrey Police Chiefs Joshina and Gavin Stephens and about three dozen officers.

Among the local officials, the police were not alone in taking part in the pride celebrations, the local council itself marched in the procession, post Members of the Brighton & Hove LGBTQ Workers Forum on social media.
Local Labour MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle, who is also part of the LGBTQ+ community, also took part in the march, holding a “All refugees welcome” banner.

The parade celebrated its belated 30th anniversary on Saturday, canceled the previous two years due to lockdown restrictions during China’s coronavirus crisis.
Brighton’s event, usually the largest LGBTQ+ march of its kind in the UK this year, said its aim was to “promote tolerance, diversity, inclusion and education within our communities. We will work to eliminate the need for LGBTQ+ living by celebrating and supporting LGBTQ+ life. All forms of discrimination in the LGBTQ+ community.”

Police officers from the supposedly politically neutral Metropolitan Police were photographed by Breitbart London during the 50th Pride parade in London last month, posing for pictures and wearing rainbow badges.
Members of other public bodies joined the police force, such as the National Health Service (NHS), the London Fire Brigade, and members of the armed forces including the Cold Creek Guard, British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.
The LBGTQ+ event in the UK capital was also supported by major corporations including Coca-Cola, which apparently hired a drag queen to represent the sugary drinks company at the parade.
“Now with Coca-Cola!” the drag queen implored the crowd.
Other companies sponsoring floats or bands include Microsoft, Cisco, eBay, Marriott and Tesco.
