The economy isn’t getting enough credit, and people are ‘racking their brains’ about it

On CNN’s “Inside Politics,” which aired Friday, Sen. John Hickenlooper (D-CO) argued that President Joe Biden isn’t being credited for his legislative achievements, “kind of like the economy.” “We have the highest number of jobs and lowest unemployment in 50 years” but “people are racking their brains”.

Hickenlooper said: “I think President Biden deserves credit for taking the time. Again, I have a strong sense of urgency about climate change. I mean, this effort to save the climate is long overdue. That said, He’s done it, nobody else’s been able to do it, and look in the 50/50 Senate — if you look at all the things he’s done, the bipartisan infrastructure bill, the PACT bill just passed this past week, you Take note of all these big moves, some bipartisan, some not, but mostly bipartisan, it’s a — for the first two years, with a 50/50 majority, people — kind of like the economy We have the highest number of jobs and lowest unemployment in 50 years and people are — the market is going down, people are racking their brains, people are looking at President Biden and saying, well, why don’t you do this quickly ?”
