New Zealand won their first women’s cricket medal at the Commonwealth Games as they comfortably beat England to bronze at Edgbaston.

The White Ferns need less than 12 overs to reach their 111-round goal after hosts England were limited to 110-9 from their 20-round tie.

Captain Sophie Devine topped the scoring with an unbeaten 51 and the New Zealander ran home with just two wickets conceded.

Favourites Australia now face India for gold at 17:00 BST.
